Verdi Route
From Polesine P.se follow the bank of the Po to Ongina on the "Bici Parma Po"; turn left here till you reach the first Verdian spot, Villa S. Agata, where you can admire photographs and personal items of the composer. Turn back 0.5 km from here and turn right into a minor road for Busseto: not to be missed in the Verdian capital are the principal piazza with its monument to the maestro, the Teatro Verdi, the Fortress, the Chiesa della Collegiata and the buildings with their arcades. After leaving Busseto head for Fidenza at the roundabout before the level crossing. Signs follow for Roncole Verdi and the cycle lane begins immediately on the right. At Roncole, after visitng Verdi's birthplace and the archive of the writer Giovannino Guareschi's works at the "Club dei Ventitrè",
follow the signs for Soragna, but leave the main road immediately after, turning left into the Strada Piacentine. After passing the "Novecento" courtyard, in which Bertolucci shot the film of that name, the itinerary reaches Soragna (linking with the "Three Castles" and "Little World" routes). Here you can visit the Meli Lupi Fortress, the Jewish Museum and the Museum of Parmigiano-Reggiano.
